Suddenly, I blinked and it’s the end of May and I’m now a senior.
Stuff That Happened:
- I finished up my junior year of HS! I passed all my classes with mainly A’s and a couple of B’s, but I got some college credit from all my concurrent classes.
- I knew this was going to happen, but seeing all my friends graduate is wow. We hung out for one of my friend’s graduation party and just laughed, had fun and talked as we hadn’t really seen each other in over a year. We’re vaccinated so there’s that relief.
- I started my job!!! I was really nervous, but I’m really liking it! I really like my coworkers, the managers and the leads are just really patient while everything is on fire (not literally), but first few days have been one problem after another
Day 1 brought me, a badge that doesn’t work and the cash register had a lot of issues. We got it fixed after the other cashier left so I was able to do something. Day 2 was well something. I ended up in the same spot as the same before, but the cash register did NOT want to work. The time I entered the area to the 20 mins later after calling my lead, and logging in. It worked for exactly 2 minutes before it stopped working for 4 hours until we figured out the problem. The wifi isn’t great so we had to hardwire it, but I felt so sorry for my lead because I had to kept calling them over every 20 mins it seemed like. The rest of the park had issues from what I heard over the radio, but ours was something. Day 2 (or Day 3 because season pass, and Day 2 of officially open) the weather is cold and wet so I got a day off for 2 days before I go back in. Working at a waterpark that was closed for 18 months is really something.
- So uhh apparently CO is refusing to let me get any official id like drivers license, learner’s permit or even a state ID at all. The reasoning: I was not born in the state and therefore, “invalid” until I get a birth certificate which won’t be until September now.
Hands down probably the best reading month I’ve had almost all year. I have read 14 books, leaving me at 61/150!!!
